Privacy Policy
Alwenna Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 1, 2026

This Policy explains what data the Alwenna service (alwenna.com and the Alwenna apps, the Service) processes, why, and what your rights are. Alwenna is designed to collect as little about you as possible: the core features work without an account, and your birth data by default stays in your browser/device.

1. Operator and contacts

Personal data operator: CHISHCHIN FEDOR (sole proprietor), Montevideo, Uruguay. E-mail: fedorstartup@gmail.com.

For any questions about your data, write to us first — we strive to resolve everything quickly and amicably.

2. Two modes and what this means for data
  • Anonymous mode (default). No account, no sign-in, no e-mail — we cannot identify you. Your birth profile is stored in your browser's local storage, and on our servers only a pseudonymous "reading memory" tied to a random device identifier (alwenna:subject, a UUID created in the browser), without a name or birth data.
  • Account mode. Required for subscriptions, purchasing the Book, syncing across devices, and storing history with us. You sign in through Google or Apple; we receive your e-mail and the minimally necessary account information.
3. What data we process
3.1 In your browser/device (locally)
  • Birth profile — name, date, time, and place of birth, coordinates and time zone (from a grounded city search), and, if you wish, gender. Used to calculate the chart and to address you. Stored locally; you can clear it at any time.
  • Device identifier alwenna:subject (UUID) — links the reading memory without your identity.
  • Settings — theme, interface language, form drafts.
3.2 On our servers
  • Reading memory — a reading made by Alwenna (its text and the grounded astrological facts), the language, the system (Western/Vedic), the time, and your rating (helpful/unclear/off the mark), tied to the anonymous subject identifier. In anonymous mode — without a name or birth data.
  • Account data (account mode) — e-mail and sign-in provider (Google/Apple), account settings.
  • Access and purchases — information about the subscription and its status, the balance of "Book credits," Book generation jobs, and reading history — to provide the paid functionality.
  • Requests — correspondence with support and messages to the developer, if you send them.
  • Public links (sharing) — if you create a public "Star Card"/link to a result, the corresponding result is saved to be shown to the recipients of the link.
  • Technical data and logs — IP address, browser/device type, OS, language, time zone, pages visited, technical logs, error data, and security signals.
3.3 Payment data

Payment is processed through providers: on the website — Dodo Payments (Merchant of Record), in the iOS apps — the Apple App Store. Card details are processed by the provider; we do not store your card data. We receive limited billing information (for example, e-mail, the selected plan, the status, and transaction identifiers) necessary to grant access and to resolve disputes.

3.4 Special categories and data about a second person

Birth data (date/time/place) and the results of intimate compatibility (the "The Heat" feature) are sensitive — handle them mindfully and do not enter unnecessary special categories of data (about health, ethnicity, orientation, views, and the like) unless required for the feature. The compatibility feature requires the data of a second person — by entering it, you confirm that you have a lawful basis to do so and that person's consent.

4. Purposes of processing
  • Providing and improving the Service — calculations, interpretations, storing history and the profile, security, fixing errors.
  • Support and communication — handling requests, granting and maintaining access, processing payments and disputes.
  • Complying with legal requirements — tax and accounting records, responding to lawful requests.
  • Marketing — mailings and informational materials only with your consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.

The data in your requests may be processed by artificial-intelligence systems solely to form responses, improve the quality of the Service, ensure security, and fix errors.

5. Legal bases
  • Consent — for example, for marketing mailings or optional cookies; withdrawable at any time.
  • Performance of a contract — processing necessary to provide the services (registration, calculations based on the entered data, processing your text requests, providing paid access).
  • Our legitimate interests — for example, analyzing usage to improve the Service and protection against abuse, where they do not override your rights.
  • Legal requirements — tax obligations, audits, lawful requests from authorities.
6. To whom we disclose data

We disclose data to third parties only to operate the Service or as required by law. Categories of recipients:

  • sign-in providers: Google, Apple;
  • payment providers: Dodo Payments (website); in-app purchases — the Apple App Store;
  • artificial-intelligence model providers for processing requests and forming responses;
  • cloud infrastructure and hosting providers, data storage, and databases;
  • analytics — the self-hosted Umami service (first-party analytics); we do not use third-party advertising trackers;
  • security, anti-fraud, monitoring, and logging providers;
  • consultants and contractors — where necessary to support the Service;
  • government authorities — where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data and do not use third-party advertising tracking.

7. Cookies and local storage

The Service uses browser local storage and cookies:

  • Essential — for the operation of the Service and its basic features (including the session cookie for sign-in); these do not require consent where the law permits.
  • Functional — remember your preferences (language, theme, entered data). Some settings (theme, language) are stored in a cookie on the .alwenna.com domain so that they carry over between sections of Alwenna.
  • Analytical — help us understand the use of the Service and find errors; for this we use the self-hosted Umami (without third-party advertising trackers).
  • Marketing — only if you have given consent.

In anonymous mode, the birth profile is stored locally and is not transmitted to the server. You can delete or restrict cookies in your browser settings, and clear local data at any time.

8. Your rights

You have the right to: access your data and a copy of it; rectification of inaccurate data; erasure in the cases provided for by law; restriction of processing and objection to it (including to marketing); portability of the data you have provided; information about the recipients of the data; withdrawal of consent at any time; and lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise your rights, write to fedorstartup@gmail.com. In anonymous mode, we identify your data by the subject identifier of your device (it can be found/exported from the app). Automated tools for export and erasure by the subject identifier are in development; until they launch, we fulfill such requests manually through support.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data from unlawful access, loss, alteration, disclosure, or destruction (including secure authentication mechanisms and restricting data access to authorized persons only). No method of transmission or storage offers an absolute guarantee.

10. International transfer

Our providers may store and process data outside your country, including in other states and in the EU/EEA. The level of protection in such countries may differ. We take reasonable measures to make the transfer lawful (adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses (SCC), or other mechanisms provided for by law, or your consent where it is required).

11. Retention periods

We store data only for as long as necessary for the purposes of processing, or for the period provided for by law. Once the period expires, the data is deleted or anonymized, unless further storage is required by law. Indicative periods:

  • Birth profile (in the browser/device) — until you delete it yourself; on our servers, in anonymous mode, it is not stored.
  • Reading memory (anonymous mode, by the subject identifier) — for continuity of experience; deleted upon your request and/or after 24 months of device inactivity.
  • Account data, history, and access — for the lifetime of the account; deleted when the account is deleted (the Service has "delete my data" and "delete account" features).
  • Billing records — for the period required by the tax and accounting law of Uruguay.
  • Support requests — up to 24 months after the request is closed.
  • Technical logs and security signals — up to 90 days.

The stated periods are indicative and may be adjusted in accordance with legal requirements.

12. Automated decisions

Alwenna uses artificial intelligence to form responses and interpretations, but we do not make legally significant decisions concerning you solely automatically.

13. Children

The Service is not intended for persons who have not reached the age of majority under applicable law, except with the consent of, or under the supervision of, a legal guardian where such consent is required. Certain features (18+) are available only to adults. If we become aware that a minor's data has been collected without the required consent, we will take reasonable measures to cease processing, including deleting the data and/or restricting access.

14. Changes to the Policy

We may update the Policy from time to time. In the case of material changes, we will notify you accordingly and update the effective date at the top. General matters of using the Service are also governed by the Terms of Use.

15. Invalidity of provisions

If any provision of the Policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
